Aadhaar Mandatory for NEET-PG & NEET-MDS 2018

As we are receiving several queries regarding the requirement of Aadhaar Number for NEET-PG and NEET-MDS 2018, PrepLadder leaving no stone unturned to keep its avid readers updated about the latest information, takes this initiative to notify once for all the necessity of Aadhaar Number to appear for NEET-PG & NEET-MDS 2018. National Board of Examinations (NBE) has recently issued a public notice for the applicants of NEET PG and NEET MDS 2018 stating that National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-PG (NEET-PG) 2018 & National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-MDS (NEET-MDS) 2018 shall be conducted by National Board of Examination and Aadhaar Number is essential to appear for these exams. This measure has been considered to enhance the security of the examinations, thus, Aadhaar number will be collected from all the applicants.

Furthermore, the notice enunciates the following guidelines:

1. Candidates possessing Aadhaar card must provide Aadhaar number during online registration for NEET-PG 2018 & NEET-MDS 2018 for the purpose of his/her identity and authentication thereof.
2. Candidates who have not yet applied for Aadhaar are, therefore, required to apply for Aadhaar enrolment in case he/she is entitled to procure Aadhaar as per Aadhaar Act. To do so, applicant may visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre (list is available at www.uidai.gov.in ).
3. Candidates who have already enrolled for Aadhaar but are yet to receive Aadhaar must enter his /her 14 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID (including slash) which is printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of online registration for NEET-PG 2018 & NEET-MDS 2018.

Note:

The above provisions are applicable for all applicants EXCEPT for those who belong to J&K, Assam & Meghalaya. However, such applicants, having domicile from the above mentioned states, are required to mention their Aadhaar number if the Aadhaar card has been issued to them and applicants who have not been issued Aadhaar Card, are required to enter the Passport Number/PAN Number/Driving License/Voter ID as an identity proof.
