AIIMS PG entrance exam is conducted twice in the year for the admission to various MD/MS PG courses. Examination for the July session was conducted on May 8th. The result of AIIMS PG July session is out now. AIIMS PG 2016 result is declared only for the qualifying candidates. Candidates who score above 50 percentile (which is the cut off for the AIIMS PG examination) will make it on the merit list.

Tie breakers for deciding rank
If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in exam, their merit will be determined on the basis of:
- Higher aggregate marks secured by candidate in all the MBBS/BDS Exam will be awarded higher rank.
- Older candidate will be preferred over the younger one
Merit list will be prepared based on the percentile obtained by candidates in AIIMS PG entrance exam.

Counselling
Counselling will be conducted in three rounds for the candidates who qualified the exam. The first round of counselling is scheduled on June 6, second round of counselling on June 13, 2016 and the open round of counselling on July 25, 2016 for filling of the unfilled MD/MS seats. The seat allotment of MD/MS will be strictly done on the basis of merit list.
AIIMS PG July session examination was conducted for admission to 131 MD/MS seats which will be allotted in the counselling process. The table given below gives the information of the seats allotted under Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences courses.
