Pattern for AIPGMEE Exam

·        AIPGMEE 2016 is a Computer Based/Online Test.

·         Is conducted by National Board of Examinations.

·         The duration of the test is 3 hours 30 minutes.

·         It is conducted in English Language.

·         There would be 300 MCQ's with 4 alternatives and 1 correct response.

·         There will be no negative marking in AIPGMEE 2016.

·         MCQ’s weight age in each specialty will differ and NBE (the examination authority) has the right to alter the marks of the question.

AIPGMEE 2016: Eligibility Criteria

Note: Candidates who hold MBBS degree and have obtained registration either from Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Council after completing compulsory rotating internship are eligible for AIPGMEE 2016.

Essential Eligibility Criteria for AIPGMEE 2016

·         The test taker should be a Citizen of India.

·         The documentary proof of registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical Council is necessary and should be furnished at the time of counseling and admission in College allotted.

·         Candidates passing MBBS from states of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are not eligible for AIPGMEE 2016.And candidates from these states who want to appear for the exam must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that they were nominated by the Govt. of India (Under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana.

·         A candidate in his/her internship can appear for AIPGMEE 2016 if he/she is expected to complete the internship by 31st March. But such candidates will not be eligible for admission unless they have completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained full registration on or before 31st March 2016.

AIPGMEE 2016 Merit List: 

The merit list of merit list for All India 50% Quota will be based on the candidates score in the AIPGMEE 2016 entrance exam. AIPGMEE 2016 merit list will be prepared only for those candidates who will secure the qualifying marks in the entrance exam. The merit list of each category will consist of total of five times of number of seats available for allotment. The minimum qualifying marks of AIPGMEE 2016 for different categories are given below:

AIPGMEE 2016 Counselling: 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct AIPGMEE 2016 counselling in online mode for all the qualifying candidates. The counselling for AIPGMEE 2016 will be conducted tentatively in month February, 2016 for allotment of 50% All India Quota post-graduate Medical seats in MD/MS/Diploma programmes. 

AIPGMEE 2016 Participating States and Medical Colleges: 

Many State Governments/Universities/Institutions will voluntarily participate in AIPGMEE 2016 for using its merit list for admission in the MD/MS/Diploma programmes seats in their respective Medical Colleges. A total of 7 states and 6 Medical Universities participating in AIPGMEE 2016.
