Nowadays, the UPSC is not following a standard pattern of allotment of questions for various topics. It is now becoming difficult to attempt or even prepare for the complete syllabus during UPSC exam preparation. So, it is wise to stress on those subjects or areas from which UPSC repeatedly asks more questions.

  • By analysing the Previous Year Questions, one can learn that Modern India, Polity, Indian Economy, Environment, Current Events, and General Science are important for prelims as around 70 to 80 % of questions are driven from these subjects.
