Age Limit

The age limit to apply for the CIL vacancies is a maximum of 30 years as on 31/05/2022. Age relaxation will apply as per the existing rules of the government. 

This includes the 3 years of relaxation for the OBC category and the 5 years of relaxation for the SC/ST category. Other categories such as the EWS, ESM, and PwD may also get age relaxation according to the rules. The details are mentioned in the official notification.

Compensation or Pay

Candidates selected as Management Trainees in E-2 Grade will receive compensation in the range of ₹50,000 - ₹1, 60,000/- initially.

On satisfactory completion of 1 year training period and after the candidate has passed the required tests, the role’s regularisation will be E-3 Grade on the scale of ₹60,000 - ₹1,80,000/- and with an initial basic salary of ₹60,000 with a one-year probation.  

In addition to the basic compensation, candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance and HRA among others. The actual remuneration may vary depending on the place of posting, the financial performance of the company, and also the performance of the candidate.

• Interested candidates should follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the Management Trainee vacancies:

• Candidates should only apply through the online mode by the link available on the CIL website, www.coalindia.in.

• Look under ‘Career with CIL’ and then at ‘Jobs at Coal India’ as per the vacancy name and requirements. 

• Every candidate may submit one application for one discipline only. If a candidate is found to submit more than one application then the application most recently submitted shall be considered the final one.  

• Incomplete applications shall be outrightly rejected.
