This analysis has been obtained based on the bona-fide polling from the candidates who appeared on the Day 2, Session 1 of June 16th 2017 of DNB CET exam. This polling was conducted so that we can help candidates those who have their exam in upcoming days in order to get an idea about what to expect and focus on.
Detailed Exam Analysis of DNB CET – JUNE 16th 2017 Morning Session.
Overall Difficulty Level – Moderate:
As per the polling results, the difficulty level of Session 1 of June 16, 2017 was of moderate level. Many questions were repeated but with twisted options leaving candidates in a dithery condition.
Majority of the candidates said that many questions were repeated from previous years. They also shared that they could easily manage time during the exam. A lot of questions were data based. Furthermore, around 6-7 questions were from unheard topics.
Deciders/High Weightage Subjects:
Decider or the Subjects that could bring a justifiable difference to your overall ranking was Obs & Gynae. Followed by Obs & Gynae, many questions appeared from Anatomy and Pharmacology.
Low Weightage Subjects:
Radiology and Orthopedics were the subjects that considerably carried low weightage in the morning shift of Day 2 exam.
Pattern of Questions:
Once again, ‘One-liners’ dominated the Morning session of Day 2 exam.
In this session, no clinical questions were seen. According to the reviews of candidates who appeared in this session, many questions were seen from previous year. However, options were twisted that made the questions confusing.
This session had only around 10 Image-based MCQs, which is comparatively lesser than all other sessions yet. Level of these questions was also moderate.
Distribution of Questions:
In total, 300 questions are asked.

Direct Questions from PrepLadder’s Mock Test Series

As per the reviews of candidates, the overall level of exam was moderate. Many questions were based on facts and straight forward. Moreover, many questions appeared from previous years. Thus, go through previous year questions at least once.
If you’re taking DNB this year, PrepLadder recommends you to have a crystal clear knowledge of 1st and 2nd year subjects.
Candidates who are going appear in the upcoming days are advised to prepare the basics prudently and revise as much as possible. Revision will surely aid you to clear your DNB CET.
Revise short subjects as well, because 20% of overall weightage comprised of questions from such subjects.
