Do’s:

First, let us go through the list of Do’s:

I. Identify and Prepare a list of Important Topics -

The first step before commencing preparation for FMGE should be to identify and list down the Important Topics from FMGE perspective. II. Get Your Fundamentals and Concepts Clear -

The difficulty level of the FMGE exam is consistently increasing year after year and the number of direct questions are only few. Therefore, it is vital to get a grip over your basics and fundamentals to be able to qualify the FMGE exam. Clarify your concepts and do not let conceptual doubts persist. Without attaining a grip over your concepts, you will fail to implement your knowledge and end up losing marks and time.

III. Practice MCQs Regularly -

Theoretical preparation solely cannot aid in qualifying the FMGE exam. Practicing MCQs side by side routinely is an imperative part of preparation. The best approach is to study a topic and solve MCQs of that topic after studying the theoretical part. This activity will facilitate applying your theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

IV. Enroll in a Good Online Test Series and Attempt Mock Tests Regularly -

Pen and Paper mode of preparation solely does not serve adequate in achieving a good level of preparation. Time Management and Accuracy are skills which can only be learnt through the Online Mode of preparation. Further, practicing Mock Tests regularly also familiarizes you with your strong and weak subjects and the areas where you need to work to attain a level of preparation good enough to qualify the FMGE exam. Attempt Online Mock Tests in a regular fashion and consistently focus on enhancing your Time Management and Accuracy, strengthening your weak areas and reducing your mistakes.

Don'ts:

I. Do Not Rely on MCQ Books for Theoretical Part -

A blunder which many candidates commit is that they prepare the Theoretical portion only from the MCQ books. Remember, MCQ books can never be a substitute for standard Textbooks. Concept clearance can only be achieved from the Standard Textbooks followed during Graduation. Therefore, do not rely on MCQ books for theoretical preparation.

II. Do not Skip any Subject/Topic -

Do not carry ‘My This Subject is Weak” Attitude. Even if you prepare majority of the Subjects good enough and skip 1 or 2 subjects stating that they are ‘Difficult’, you still have very less chances of qualifying the FMGE exam. This is because there is no fixed weight age of any subject. It may happen that you skip a Subject/Topic and majority of the exam may appear from that subject. Therefore, do not commit the blunder of skipping any subject. Prepare your weak subjects decent enough to be able to answer questions from that subject.

III. Do not Focus on Completing the Entire Syllabus -

Remember, you are not required to do a PG in the 19 subjects. Your focus should not be to complete the entire syllabus but to complete only the Important Topics of the syllabus.

IV. Do not Mug up concepts -

Mugging up concepts does not help in the long run since you will not be able to solve conceptual questions by mugging up concepts. If your concepts are not clear you won't be able to implement these concepts. So, Clear your doubts as soon as possible.

V. Do not Doubt Yourself -

Doubting yourself and your abilities will only bring your morale down. Keep your spirit alive even if you have experienced failure previously. Remaining determined will help you sail through. We are sure that this blog will familiarize you with the Do’s and Dont’s for FMGE preparation.Stay Tuned to this space for More UpdatesǃǃAlso Read our blogs for FMGE Preparation :
