Dr Bipin Batra, Executive Director suspended from NBE

When India today is fighting to put out the flames of certain events such as corruption, sexual harassment etc., yet another case of NBE has come up where Dr Bipin Batra, Executive Director of NBE, was held guilty of illegal appointments, sexual harassment and alleged role in NEET PG exam. For the past few days, Dr Bipin Batra, who joined NBE in the year 2004, has been in news regarding the same and thus, meeting was held by the Governing Body of NBE after Ministry of Health & Family Welfare asked NBE to conduct the internal inquiry on its Executive Director. As a consequence, Dr Bipin Batra has been suspended by NBE for his misconduct. Dr Bipin Batra was charged with several corruption cases and a FIR was also filed by NBE’s own employee over the sexual harassment. Moreover, he was suspected to unethically provide contract of conduct of examinations without issuing tender notice or bidding process which is an act of violation against guidelines issued by CVC. The official notification is yet to be obtained regarding the same. However, this is a clear example that MoHFW is not blindfolded and will always take a strict action against misconduct of any form.
