The GATE 2022 Civil Engineering (CE) exam was successfully conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur across the nation at its scheduled forenoon and afternoon sessions from 9 AM till 12 PM and 2:30 PM till 5:30 PM.

• The overall CE paper of the Forenoon Session was Moderate to Tough.
• There were 7 MSQ questions in Shift 1 of the CE paper
• A total of 35 MCQ and 23 NAT Questions were asked. 
• GeoTechnical and Environmental Engineering had the highest marks weightage of 14 and 11 marks. 
• General Aptitude questions were tough.
• Students encountered unexpected questions from Shear Design in the RCC subject. 
• The expected cut-off is between 28-32.

GATE 2022 CE Paper Analysis: Afternoon Session

• The overall CE paper of the Afternoon Session was Moderate to Tough.
• There were 7 MSQ questions in Shift 2 of the CE paper
• A total of 34 MCQ and 24 NAT Questions were asked. 
• GeoTechnical and Environmental Engineering had the highest marks weightage of 11 marks each. 
• There was one question from Structural Dynamics. 
• The expected cut-off is between 28-32.

GATE 2022 CE question paper will be available for download on the official website of IIT Kharagpur. The cut-off for the GATE Civil Engineering exam will be available on 17th March along with the GATE 2022 result.
