The first paper of GATE 2022, Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur was attempted by thousands of students at all the designated exam centers across the country.

The CS exam was held at the proposed time from 9 AM to 12 PM and the authorities took care of all the necessary COVID 19 precautions at the centre.

GATE 2022 CS & IT Paper Analysis: Key Highlights

• The overall difficulty level of the GATE CS paper was moderate to difficult.
• There were a total of 15 MSQs, 32 MCQs, and 18 NATs
• Most of the questions were from Computer Network and Computer Organization
• Most of the questions were theory and conceptual based.
• The expected cut-off for the CS exam will be 28-30 this year as the exam was moderate to difficult.

Apart from General Aptitude, subjects such as Computer Network and Theory of Computation, had maximum marks weightage. GATE 2022 CS question paper will be available for download on the official website of IIT Kharagpur.

The cut-off for the GATE Computer Science and Information Technology exam will be available on 17th March along with the GATE 2022 result.
