GATE 2022 Electrical Engineering (EE) exam was held on 5th February 2022 at its scheduled time from 2:30 PM till 5:30 PM.

Being one of the most popular engineering streams and with a good number of vacancies in PSUs, a large number of students appear for the GATE EE exam every year. It was the same story this year too!

  • There were no MSQ questions in the EE paper
  • General Aptitude questions were moderate to difficult.
  • Questions from Electromagnetic field were difficult.
  • There were a total of 33 MCQs and 22 NAT type questions.

Apart from Engineering Mathematics and General Aptitude, subjects such as Electrical Machines, and Power Electronics, had maximum marks weightage. GATE 2022 EE question paper will be available for download on the official website of IIT Kharagpur.

The cut-off for the GATE Electrical Engineering exam will be available on 17th March along with the GATE 2022 result.
