How to Intelligently Guess an Unknown Answer in FMGE
It is not possible for any doctor to know the answers to all the questions asked in FMGE exam.
Aspirants must try to increase their overall attempt in FMGE since the exam is free from Negative Marking.
Having said that, the accuracy factor is the driver to success in FMGE exam. The thumb rule for attaining high accuracy in an MCQs based exam is to review all the options before marking an answer.
PrepLadder has devised some new techniques which could be used to guess an unknown question intelligently.

The techniques are as follows:
• The Von Restorff effect
Conventionally, we refrain from changing the option we chose in the first attempt. However, research indicates that humans tend to change from wrong to right. We tend to retain the instances where the right option was changed to wrong.
The act of selectively remembering unfavourable/usual events is known as Von Restorff Effect.
Research indicates that the percentage of ‘wrong to right’ changes is 57.8% while the percentage of ‘right to wrong’ changes is 20.2%.

• Choose ‘All of the Above’ as a Correct Response
You must mark ‘all of the above’ as the answer if you could verify that more than one response is probably correct.
• Choose (b) or (c) if everything else fails
It is a common belief among the examiners that the correct answer is hidden better if it is surrounded by distractions.
Use this trick only if the question is absolutely alien to you and you cannot filter out even a single option.
