Understand the Merit List, Cut-off, & Tie Breaker

Qualifying candidates eligible to participate in the counseling make it to the merit list, which is based on the cut-off percentile. The cut-off is 50th for the UR/OCI candidates and 40th for the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD applicants. The PDF file of the merit list is available for download on the official website here.

Note: The cut-off is different for each course. So, to find out a specific course cut-off, you will need to visit the official website of the course in question.

If two or more candidates have scored the same marks, the merit position will be determined using tie-breaker criteria. Candidates with lesser negative marks will get a better rank. If the tie still exists, then the merit position will be decided according to the age of the applicants. Older candidates will be allotted a higher rank.
