Hello, please tell us something about yourself.
Hey! My name is Dr. Mari Priyadharshini. I graduated from Crimean State Medical University, Russia and I have successfully cleared the FMGE exam with a score of 217.
What do you think is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ’s or Theory+MCQ’s?
In my opinion, it is a must to perfect the theoretical part as it will eventually help you in solving the MCQs. So, it’s better to go with theory plus MCQ’s.
When should the preparation ideally be started?
Well, this depends completely on how dedicated you are. In my opinion, It’s better if you start preparing from the 4th year.

Anatomy- Preives
Physiology-Ganongs
Surgery-Bailey and love
Pharmacology- Lippincott’s Gyne- DC Dutta and Williams
Pathoanatomy- Robinson pathology Medicine- Kumar and Clarke’s
Have you attempted FMGE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success
No, this was my first attempt.
How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it?
Practice is the key so that you don’t lose your exam preparation pace!

Yes, I must thank PrepLadder. The All India FMGE test surely helped me to rectify my mistakes so that I would not repeat them.

Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track? If yes, how?
Yes, I used a study plan as planning plays an important role by keeping you on the right track.
Were you a topper or a mediocre student during graduation?
Yes, I scored the highest marks in my last state exam.
One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for FMGE
Everyone must avoid being overconfident and committing silly mistakes.
Some last tips for our readers preparing for FMGE?
Revision is the key. Make sure to practice MCQ and never lose hope. Keep trying until the end.
