I am Md Ebadullah. I am from Kolkata. I studied in Davao Medical School Foundations, Davao City, Philippines and graduated in December 2017. I have scored 200 marks in FMGE June 2018. According to you what is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory + MCQ's? Theory and MCQs both are required for FMGE. When should the preparation ideally be started? For me, six months were enough. It's very important to maintain the same level of concentration for the whole six months. Please list the books you studied for each subject. Fmge Solutions by Dr. Deepak Marwah and Dr. Siraj Ahmed, Photon20- PSM by Dr. Vivek Jain Is this your first attempt? If No, what did you do different this year that lead to your success? Yes, this was my first attempt. What's the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it? Practicing MCQs is very important for self-evaluation. It reduces the chances of making silly mistakes which ideally seems silly but are big ones. Everyone has a different level of speed for studying and grasping things. So, one should set his/ her schedule accordingly. Just make sure that you are able to complete at least two thorough revisions & three short revisions before the exam. Everyone should check their capability and divide their timetable according. I am a slow learner, so I had to cut down my sleeping time to adjust my schedule. Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how? Yes, PrepLadder played an immense role in my preparation. I participated in the mock test exam held by Dr. Deepak Marwah. In both of the exams, I passed which increased my confidence. It was a practice before the exam about sitting for three hours continuously and getting your mind in the practice of not getting tired. Did you follow a timetable/study plan to keep your preparation on track? Yes, I did follow a timetable to keep my preparations on track, it is very important. Study plan plays an important role in the timely completion of the syllabus. Were you a topper or an average student during graduation? It is according to the people's perception whether to call me a topper or an average. I was 10th in my class during graduation. I consider myself as an average student. List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you. Most difficult: Ophthalmology Easiest: PSM One mistake that should be avoided while preparing for FMGE. Whatever you study, make a plan what all to revise in the last week and mark it or write it on sticky notes so that you don't forget to revise that particular important topic on the very last moment. After every study session, your last moment revision plan should be ready. Some tips for our readers preparing for FMGE? Never ever get nervous. Read as much that you can revise thrice before the exam. Practice at least 30MCQs daily in the beginning and increase it eventually as the exam comes nearer. Don't listen to any shitty rumor, believe whatever is written on the original and authentic site regarding all info about FMGE. Don't think that your study or revision is enough and stop it. Keeping the same track is very imp. Work hard, it will pay you off by God's will. We thank Dr. Md Ebadullah for sharing his success story. Also Read our blogs for FMGE Preparation :
