I have completed my graduation from Odessa National Medical University, Ukraine, Europe. I scored 203 in FMGE Dec 2018. What do you think is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's? Theory + MCQ’s is the correct approach. When should the preparation ideally be started? Preparation should ideally be started at least 4 months before the exam. If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success No. This was my FIRST attempt. How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it? Revision is mandatory and solving MCQs are obligatory. I revised the main subjects thrice and small subjects twice. About MCQs -I used to solve 70-100 questions daily. Both helped me a lot in my preparation. I feel that's the only one key that helped me to score well and to be confident in the exam. Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how? Yes, it did. Daily quiz, daily updates were very useful. Tests at PrepLadder helped me to track my preparation and to find out my silly mistakes. Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track? Yes, the time table is necessary though I wasn’t able to follow it 100%. But it kept me on track. Were you a topper or a mediocre student during graduation? A topper List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you. Most difficult: Surgery Easiest subjects: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Medicine One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for FMGE Silly mistakes Some last tips for our readers preparing for FMGE?
