Stay on transfer of vacant AIQ 2018-19, PG seats to State Quota
Here is an important update for the candidates participating in NEET-PG 2018 counseling.

As per the Order judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court vide dated 20/04/2018 passed in Writ Petition (C) No. 357/2018. The vacant PG (MD/MS/ Diploma & MDS) seats under 50% All India Quota for the academic session 2018-19 may not be treated as surrendered/ reverted/ transfer back to State Govt./ Colleges till further order from Hon’ble Supreme Court.
The official judgment read as follows:
“Having heard learned counsel appearing for the parties, we consider it appropriate to direct that until further orders, the petitioners- students should be allowed to retain their seats allotted to them in the first round of counseling for admission to the post-graduate medical courses.
We order accordingly.
Also, there shall be stay of reversion of the seats by the Central Government to the State Government/s until further orders.
Further hearing on this matter will be held on 27 April 2018.
In the meantime, the respondents may file their respective reply affidavit, if any.”
